El Grupo Chilquinta presenta su Plan de Continuidad Operacional para
enfrentar la temporada de altas temperaturas 2024-2025
En un esfuerzo por mantener el trabajo colaborativo ante la temporada de altas
temperaturas, el Grupo Chilquinta presentó su Plan de Continuidad Operacional
en un encuentro con autoridades gubernamentales y organismos de protección
civil.
La reunión contó con la asistencia del Director Regional de la Superintendencia de
Electricidad y Combustibles (SEC), Patricio Velásquez; la Encargada de la Oficina
de Gestión de Emergencia y Catástrofes de la Delegación Presidencial, Carla
Marín; la Seremi de Energía, Arife Mansur, y representantes de CONAF.
Cristian Candia, Gerente de Distribución de Chilquinta, destacó la efectividad de la
jornada «Hoy hemos tenido la oportunidad de presentar a las autoridades
nuestro Plan de Continuidad Operacional, enfocado en garantizar la
estabilidad del suministro eléctrico durante la temporada de altas
temperaturas. En Chilquinta, trabajamos intensamente en la optimización de
nuestras operaciones, incluyendo el mantenimiento preventivo y la
automatización de sistemas, para asegurar que podamos responder de
manera rápida y eficiente ante cualquier desafío, como incendios forestales
o altas demandas de energía»
La jornada incluyó una presentación de la especialista agrónoma de la Pontificia
Universidad Católica, Alejandra Vargas, quien detalló uno de los principales
desafíos para la operación de la red de distribución eléctrica: el estado del
arbolado urbano.
«Tanto en la Región de Valparaíso como la Región Metropolitana vemos un
arbolado urbano sumamente deteriorado. La invitación es a reemplazar el
arbolado que está en malas condiciones y hacer nuevas plantaciones,
promoviendo el buen crecimiento de los árboles y disminuir los riesgos
asociados a sus caídas» explicó Alejandra Vargas, en el contexto de su
presentación.
Por su parte, la Seremi de Energía, Arife Mansur, valoró la colaboración entre la
empresa y el sector público «Principalmente cuando nosotros como servicio
público nos unimos con las empresas, podemos combatir de mejor forma lo
que significa el cambio climático. El cambio climático no solamente significa
un cambio en las temperaturas ambientales, sino también en los grandes
desafíos que enfrentamos, como ráfagas de viento e incendios. La estrategia
que se genera entre la empresa y los servicios públicos es clave para
gestionar estas emergencias de manera efectiva.»
Finalmente, Carla Marín, Encargada de la Oficina de Gestión de Emergencia y
Catástrofes de la Delegación Presidencial, enfatizó la importancia de la
coordinación: «Como todos los años, el trabajo coordinado es fundamental
para mitigar el riesgo para la vida de las personas y sus bienes. La buena
gestión en conjunto nos permite abordar las emergencias con mayor rapidez
y superarlas de manera más efectiva.»
El Plan de Continuidad Operacional de Chilquinta está diseñado para asegurar el
suministro eléctrico en los segmentos de transmisión y distribución en las zonas
de concesión de la empresa. Este plan contempla mantenimiento preventivo,
mejoras en la operación y automatización del sistema eléctrico, así como
instancias de acercamiento con autoridades y la comunidad para promover
medidas de prevención.
Con este plan, el Grupo Chilquinta reafirma su compromiso con la comunidad y la
región, trabajando de la mano con autoridades para enfrentar los desafíos
climáticos y garantizar la continuidad del suministro eléctrico.
